Google’s restriction for call recording made it even tougher for third-party call recording. Though giving some permission apps works well enough. One of the working call recorders for LG G8X is the Cube ACR call recorder. You can download this one for call recording on LG G8X and I think other devices are also supported.
You can record calls not only made from the phone dialer app but from other apps too. You can do call recording on LG G8X and other devices for the apps like WhatsApp, Skype, IMO, Telegram, and a lot more. The app is free but there is a premium version if you want that.

Though there are lots of call-recording apps available right now. I found this one working well on my LG G8X smartphone. Also, it’s not limited to only this smartphone you can check the reviews on the play store page it’s working on other devices too.
It’s obvious that you need to give some permission to the app. The good thing is the app shows why is specific permission needed for the app. The app will ask permission for contacts and calls, and turn on the accessibility settings for taking over the screen for recording.
When you make a call one floating icon for recording will appear. It will automatically record your calls. I tried this for call recording on LG G8X it works well. I was concerned about the audio quality but it’s pretty good as I expected. Below is the list of apps that the app supports for call recording.
