The CyberPunk 2077 hype was so real and it broke lots of records. The CD project Red already announced there will be no DRM protection for the CyberPunk 2077 game. Still, CyberPunk 2077 made $480 Million by selling over 8 Million copies even before the launch.
Now its in the top position on streaming platform like Twitch. CyberPunk 2077 after getting delayed again and again it increased the hype even more and people were pre-ordering a lot. It launched on 10 December on gaming platforms. CyberPunk even beaten the steam highest player count record for single player game.
The game reached 1,054,388 concurrent players according to SteamDB. Obviously, there’s no comparison between the multiplayer and single player games but CyberPunk managed to get the players count to 1 million+ on steam alone. Lots of gamers bought the GOG code and that count is not included in this 1 million count.
CyberPunk 2077 Made $480 Million
Despite breaking all the record after the launch. CyberPunk 2077 made $480 million even before the launch. The wait from the fans since 2012 trailer launch made this all possible. The CD project Red game developer said, they already sold over 8 million copies before the launch.
Each copy count to $60 minimum price contributed to almost $500 million in value. This value is even before the launch of the games. It will surely go to get more in a few days. First announced in April 2020 in the E3 event where Keanu Reeves made the hype even more. After two subsequent delays finally it was launched on 10 December.
