Asus Zenfone 6/6Z users can now enable 75Hz screen on Zenfone 6/6Z. The idea of overclocking the display is not new but basically it’s really new for smartphones. Asus Zenfone 6/6Z packs a bouquet of high-end specs and flagship-grade features. The display is also an important part for a flagship device, this device officially comes with 60Hz refresh rate screen. Most of the Android device comes with the same refresh rate display so this is not any flagship features. So after some week, an XDA developer developed 75Hz screen mod for Zenfone 6/6Z. That overclock your screen refresh rate up to 75Hz.

More refresh rate gives smooth and fluid feels in games, video and other stuff. Here we share a way to overclock the standard 60Hz display on the Zenfone 6 series to 75Hz. Yes, they came up with a mod which when installed on any K20 device, the refresh rate will reach 75Hz.
The process to install 75Hz Refresh Rate Mod on Zenfone 6/6Z is pretty simple. First required an unlocked bootloader on your 6/6Z devices to install MOD. After that, you can install the proton Kernel via TWRP custom recovery (Recommended).
Pre-requisites:
- The Asus Zenfone 6/6Z bootloader must be unlocked.
- Install TWRP Recovery on Asus Zenfone 6/6Z.

How To Enable Zenfone 6 75Hz Display Refresh Rate Mod
Note: OVERCLOCKING THE DISPLAY IS NOT RECOMMENDED, YOU CAN TRY IF YOU WANT BUT DON’T USE IT FOR a LONG TIME!!
- Download above proton kernel zip file and save it to your phone storage.
- Boot your Asus_Zenfone_6/6Z into TWRP Recovery.
- Now go to install–>select the proton kernel ZIP file.
- Swipe to flash the kernel.
- Reboot your phone.
To revert to 60HZ display, just put the 60FPS or 60HZ somewhere in the ZIP file name, and flash it again.
