Huawei and Honor combined brands were performing a lot better before the US ban. Honor coming under Huawei name also had to face the restrictions made on the Huawei. Previously the Honor split up from Huawei and now prepared to make Honor flagship devices with Snapdragon 888 chipsets and all the Google services.
After splitting up Honor will not be having any restrictions as it is now an independent brand. The Honor CEO Zhao Ming stated, they will launch Honor flagship devices and aims to surpass the Huawei mate and p series smartphones. Rather than flagship some mid-range devices are also expected to launch this year.
Honor Flagship Devices
Honor is not having any restrictions because of disintegrating them from Huawei. Now Honor is going to use the popular Qualcomm chipset. Earlier, they were using the HiSilicon Kirin chipsets. New Honor Flagship devices are coming this year in July. Honor is making contacts with Samsung, Intel, AMD, Microsoft, MediaTek for future devices.
Also, Honor is making its move to get the Google mobile services on their smartphones. As the restrictions are not effective on Honor, they may be able to get the GMS on Honor smartphones. Some new online stores, offline stores are getting launched increasing the footprints of Honor. We will get to know if Honor can make their comeback on global level.
