There’s a lot going on in Huawei’s position. They are going to find out every alternative for Google services. As Trump stopped any support from US companies to Huawei due to privacy and data-stealing issues. Though Huawei didn’t stop its smartphone production Huawei has taken a lot of hits because of banning Google services. Especially, in India, Huawei and Honor were going strong but suddenly everything stopped. Now Huawei’s alternative to the play store its Huawei App Gallery has now most of the essential apps. Now the most important part of Google services is Maps, Huawei now partnered with TomTom and released the HERE WeGo maps on its own App Gallery.
Here We Go Map is not new it was released by Nokia when the Windows phones were a thing. It was for Windows phones and later the app was released for iOS and Android. According to data Here We Go is the second Map App used after Google Maps. So Huawei users who are going to buy the Huawei/Honor phones can use the Here We Go maps on their devices via App Gallery. This move made Huawei join the spot for owning its own mapping service for its products alongside Amazon.
Here We Go also have some features like maps download offline, ticket booking, and free voice navigation. It’s great news for Huawei and Honor users. Though there are still lots of apps that are dependent on Google Services for their work. You can download the Here We Go maps from the Huawei app gallery it’s about 62MB in size.
