Now we have also found Magisk For EMUI 8.0, we will guide you How to install Magisk On EMUI 8.0 Android 8.0 Oreo Huawei Devices. Xda forum member ante0 modified the latest magisk and its working on new EMUI 8.0 with Android 8.0 Huawei mate 9, mate 9 pro, Huawei p10 and other Honor devices.
Huawei finally released Android 8.0 oreo with EMUI 8.0 on Huawei and honor device via OTA updates. We have posted many Huawei EMUI 8.0 updates on our firmware, custom rom sharing blog you can download from here. The new EMUI 8.0 came with AI and lots of new features and new kernel. If you are a Huawei and Honor’s user installed latest EMUI 8.0 and want to root the device then you can use Magisk For EMUI 8.0 with this guide.
The new Magisk came with lot’s of new features, new Magisk 16 support Huawei device fixed NDK compiler bug and much more. With Magisk you can hide root access on some also you can install Magisk modules like xposed framework. So let’s start the guide Guide To Install Magisk On EMUI 8.0 Android 8.0 Oreo Huawei and Honor Devices.
Requirements:-
- Free Space in the system and Internal storage.
- Android 8.0 Oreo EMUI 8.0 beta or stable.
- Stock Boot (re-install ramdisk, boot if you installed Super-Su)
- Latest TWRP Recovery you can install from here.

We have uploaded the modified Magisk-v16.0 and Magisk-v15.4 for emui 8.0. There is two method you can flash directly or you have to follow 2nd method.
Huawei-Prop-Fix-v1.4_2018012501.zip
Guide To Install Magisk On EMUI 8.0 Android 8.0:-
1.) First, read the Requirements, install Latest Magisk Manager apk.
2.) Download “Magisk-v16.0-EMUI 8.0.zip” and copy to internal storage or USB-OTG.
3.) Turn your phone into recovery mode select “Keep Read Only”.
4.) Go to install and flash “Magisk-v16.0-EMUI 8.0.zip”
5.) Reboot – System – Do Not Install.
Method 2:-
1.) Read the Requirements, install Latest Magisk Manager apk.
2.) Download HW and Public zip for your device build version from here.
3.) Search you build code like mine “LON-L29C636B361” you can find it from Setting -> About, Look for FullOTA-MF and click on File list.
4.) Download “public.zip” and HW_**_.zip and copy it to internal storage or USB-otg.
6.) Format Data and type “yes”
7.) Go to install and flash “Magisk-v15.4_EMUI 8.0.zip” then “Huawei-Prop-Fix-v1.4_2018012501.zip”.
8.) flash public zip first and then hw zip
9.) Reboot – System – Do Not Install.
Flash “Huawei-Prop-Fix-v1.4_2018012501.zip” if you getting safety check error. Try both of them Magisk-v16.0-EMUI 8.0.zip and Magisk-v15.4_EMUI 8.0.zip if magisk not working.
