Between the report and the official preview, LG has been preparing something completely new series for its Android smartphone line up. Tonight, LG officially launched the teaser of “LG Velvet”, which is the first product in a new mobile phone series that focus on design rather than specifications.
Today, LG published a video titled โLG Velvet โ Designโ over on its Korean YouTube channel. The design of this new device is completely different from LG’s previous smartphones. Its “raindrop” camera design and “3D curved design” bend the glass on both sides of the device.

The LG Velvet will supposedly be between 6.7 to 6.9-inches. The video showcases the upcoming smartphone with 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom and dual stereo speakers, that is good for the users. Probably the device has 3 physical buttons one for power in the right site and other two-volume rockers in the left side of the phone. The SIM card tray is located at the top of the frame. Also, this device comes with a USB Type-C port, so we think it supports fast charging.
LG will bring Qualcomm latest mid-range processor for this device. This device powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor. From this idea of the professor, we think the Velvet be cheaper than most premium flagship smartphones on the market today, but we won’t know the exact price until LG launches the phone sometime next month.
Finally, we can see that the LG Velvet has a U-shaped notch cutout and comes in 4 colours: Aurora Red, Aurora Green, Aurora black and white. Earlier there were rumours that LG Velvet will be equipped with a 48MP main camera, with a 4000 mAh battery to power up the device, and support LG โs Dual Screen accessory.
