Meizu is preparing for the launch of the Meizu 17 flagship device in 2020. Although various rumours have surfaced, the company has finally officially disclosed some of its specifications and expectation price. MEIZU has revealed a poster of the phone and confirmed the phone’s official launch date will finally arrive on 22-April-2020. Meizu 17 comes with OLED screen with a punch-hole camera in the upper right corner. The camera module on the back is horizontal design similar to Samsung Note 9.
Meizu has put a starting price of ¥3599 (~$510) for that new phone. The Meizu 17 features a 6.5 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a 90Hz screen. This device powered by a 2.84 GHz octa-core Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 (7 nm+) processor. This listing also suggests that the phone will feature 8GB, and 12GB RAM options, and 128GB and 256GB onboard storage versions. You can get Android 10 with FlymeOS out of the box. Also, it comes with a 4000 mAh battery to power up the beast, and it supports 30W fast charging support.
Meizu 17 is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 SoC. It is a 5G processor that is capable of the faster bandwidth. Meizu 17 will also support mSmart technology, which will basically enable the device to intelligently switch between connections to find the optimal network speed and battery life performance. The device will also support Wi-Fi 6, with download speeds up to 4,151 Mbps.
The Meizu 17 on the rear packs a 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 primary camera a second 8-megapixel camera, a third 5-megapixel telephoto camera and the last one 2-megapixel depth of field sensor. Meizu finally used the digital camera. On the front, it will be equipped with only one camera but we can’t able to know in detail.
We expect the Meizu 17 trio to cost the base model (8GB+128GB) is priced at ¥ 3999 (~$566), but if you want the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage version, you must pay ¥ 4299 (~$608) and the higher variant that brings 12GB RAM +256GB Storage is priced at ¥ 4699 (~$665). The phone will be available in black and white as per leaked news.
