Here is the another ported version of Modded Google Camera for Redmi 5A (Pixel 2 Cam). It has some flaws but also it captures very good quality pictures than stock camera app. Until now the Google camera is ported to many of the devices and it is working fine already. Google Camera HDR+ is available for Snapdragon 4xx/6xx/82xx. We already posted about it in an earlier post, Check it out HERE. Gcam mode is very much popular nowadays. In this mod, the Google Camera will capture portrait mode with a rear cam which works great. For the front cam, portrait mode is not available.

About Google Camera:

Google Cam is a camera application developed by Google for Android. But is now only officially supported on Google’s Nexus and Pixel devices. It was released on the Google Play Store on April 16, 2014. Now available for all pixels and Nexus devices. Developers ported this Google Cam to many other devices.

Guide To Install Modded Google Camera for Redmi 5A:

• Considering you have unlocked the bootloader, TWRP and Magisk installed. copy the apk file which downloaded above to your phone storage.
• Navigate to system/ and find the build.prop editor.
• In the build.prop file adds the following line at the end of file. Save the file and exit and reboot your device.

persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1

• installs GoogleCam.Apk, as usual, we install APK files.
