One of the most popular mobile chipset maker Qualcomm launched the 768G version. The mid-range popular Qualcomm chipset which is Snapdragon 765G is now changed to 768G version. The gaming on mobiles is increasing day by day and Qualcomm and other manufacturers like MediaTek are continuously bringing more to their lineup. The added suffix G is for gaming and is just a marketing thing to hype the processor. Now Qualcomm launched the Overclocked version of 765G chipset. Qualcomm named this chipset as Snapdragon 768G.
OEM’s are constantly upgrading and craving for new chipsets. Just like after the launch of 855, 855+ was launched. After the 765G, 768G is launched with just minor differences to give a different hype. So the 768G is an overclocked version of this 765G chipset. There are various improvements to this chipset. Snapdragon 768G now has its high clock frequency to 2.8Ghz. Supported by Andreno 620 GPU. This will bring a 15% increase in performance. These are the small margins but still enough to make a new processor name.
Snapdragon 768G will support 5G, Qualcomm Elite gaming features, etc. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G will be available firstly in the Redmi K30 5G Extreme edition. Also, this chipset will be really a cost-effective alternative for mid-range smartphones. You will get 800 series comparable performance with the 700 series chipset.
