Root Galaxy Note 8 Snapdragon USA Variant (N950U) with SamFAIL
Finally the rooting method available for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Snapdragon USA Variant with SamFAIL. We will guide you to Root Galaxy Note 8 Snapdragon USA Variant N950U with SamFAIL custom Firmware. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Snapdragon launched in the USA on 2017, August with Snapdragon 835 and Dual camera setup.
The Galaxy Note 8 Snapdragon hardly to root because boot sector (boot.img) is secure so you have to put SuperSu manually in System. So here is the Custom firmware and Custom System.tar created by me2151 to Root Galaxy Note 8 Snapdragon USA Variant. We will guide you how to flash the custom firmware on Galaxy Note 8 Snapdragon USA Variant (N950U) to Root Galaxy Note 8 Snapdragon.

Preparation:-
- Charge Your Device.
- Backup Phone Apps, Contacts, SMS.
- Enable developer options.
Go To Settings -> About Phone -> Tap On “Build Number” 7 Times To Enable Developer Options.
- Enable USB Debugging.
Go To Your Settings -> Developer Options -> Tick The “Usb Debugging” Checkbox.
- Enable OEM Unlock.
Go To Your Settings -> Developer Options -> Tick The“Oem Unlock” Check box

Guide To Root Galaxy Note 8 Snapdragon USA Variant:-
1.) Download Unzip “Odin Note 8.zip” and “N8_SamFAIL_System.zip”.
2.) Run “Odin PrinceComsy.exe”
3.) Switch Off Your Note 8.
4.) Turn Your Phone Into Download Mode By (Volume Down + BIXBY + Power buttons).
Press Volume Up to acknowledge the warning Then Phone Will Turn Download Mode
5.) Connect Your Phone With Pc Via USB, Odin Will Detect Your Phone.
6.) That Is, Check The Ap Box, Add The “Pre-Rooted system.tar” File. (Do Not Extract It)
7.) Now go to the PIT tab and Select the “GREATQLTE_USA_SINGLE.pit” File.
8) Check Auto Reboot, NAND ERASE ALL, Re-Partition and F.Reset Time Options.
9) Now click start Button ODIN will say FAIL Then go to The Next Step.

10) Now Re-Turn Your Phone Into Download Mode By (Volume Down + BIXBY + Power buttons).
11) Download Unzip “N8_SamFAIL_Firmware.zip” and CSC Files for your carrier Version.
12) Select BL, AP, CP file from N8_SamFAIL_Firmware Folder and CSC .tar File.
13) Remove PIT file from PIT tab and Un-tick NAND ERASE ALL and Re-Partition.
14) Now Click Start To flash the Complete Firmware.
15) Now your phone will auto reboot into recovery mode Select reboot option to reboot into normal mode.
- (If you getting Failed to mount /system(Invalid Argument) Then re-process the instructions.
16) After completing the boot open SuperSU app and update the binary in the Normal method.
17) Reboot & Enjoy.
Fix system partition Issue:-
- Download “fsck.ext4” and copy it to /tmp/ directory using X-plore File Manager.
- Download and Install terminal emulator from Play store.
- Open terminal emulator app and type or paste this commands line by line.
su
chmod 755 /tmp/fsck.ext4
mount -o ro,remount /system
/tmp/fsck.ext4 -f $(find /dev -name system)
- When asked to Salvage hit Y then Hit A to auto repair.
- Reboot The device and Enjoy
Flash any stock Rom to back into stock anytime.
