Samsung the top global smartphone manufacturer recently launched lots of 5G supported phones. Huawei is out of business in the USA so Samsung is mostly getting sold there in the USA. Surprisingly, Samsung made top spot in China too with highest selling of 5G supported smartphones. A report states that Samsung sold almost 24 million units in the first quarter of 2020 even with ongoing pandemic situations. Though the sales will definitely decline in the coming months. But Samsung is topped even in China beating the local smartphone manufacturers.
Samsung shipped 8.3 million units, followed by closing of Huawei which sold 8 million units in first quarter of 2020. Then the parts of BBK electronics Vivo and OPPO gets the third and fifth spot by selling 2.9 million and 1.2 million units respectively. While Xiaomi with 2.5 million sells grabs the fourth spot in the 5G smartphones sells globally. The remaining unit are from other manufacturers. Even with the pandemic situations Samsung sold a lot units compared to other OEM’s.
Especially, in Chine even with the pandemic Coronavirus situations, Samsung 5G enabled devices are getting sold mostly. One of the popular Samsung series which was sold mostly is Galaxy S20 and S20 Ultra with both 5G versions. This states the excitement in customers because of 5G connectivity. Samsung is launching a lot more devices with the 5G support now.
