Qualcomm Launched two-way satellite messaging for snapdragon 8 gen 2
At CES Qualcomm announced Snapdragon Satellite, a two-way satellite messaging service that will be available on "next-generation premium Android smartphones".
This is made possible through a partnership with Iridium, which operates a 66-strong Low Earth orbit satellite constellation.
Snapdragon Satellite will support two-way messaging for emergency use, SMS texting, and "other messaging applications".
It will be supported starting with devices that feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
